Zenyatta once again tops Horse Racing Nation's Fan Power Rankings by leading all horses on August 31.  The undefeated mare looks to put her winning streak on the line once again in the October 2 Zenyatta Stakes, named for her when her retirement was announced last Fall.

Quality Road remains in second, but Blame is inching upward in third, and a lot could hinge on Quality Road's performance in the September 4 Woodward this weekend at Saratoga.  Rachel Alexandra's rating dropped after her loss to Persistently in the Personal Ensign Handicap, but the 2009 Horse of the Year managed to hang on to fourth place over Lookin at Lucky.
All of the rankings are determined by Horse Racing Nation site visitors, who can rate each horse 1 through 10 stars each week.  Zenyatta currently leads all active horses with a rating of 9.47, followed by Quality Road with 8.62.  In this way, the Top 250 Active horses are listed in order in the Power Rankings each week.

Fans can vote any time during the week, and the ratings and rankings adjust upwards and downwards continuously.  Fans can access the Top 250 Active Power Rankings, which are updated every 30 minutes every day.

In spots six through 10, Gio Ponti moved up one spot to sixth, followed by the undefeated 2-year-old Kantharos who dropped to seventh.  Goldikova, the back-to-back winner of the Breeders' Cup Mile is in eighth, followed by Rail Trip and Proviso, who moved up from 12th to 10th this week.
One of the biggest movers of the week was Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver, who dropped from 11th to 39th on the basis of his 10th place showing in the Travers Stakes.  In a similar fashion, Ice Box, who finished eighth in the Travers, fell from 16th to 40th. Two of the biggest gainers were Sidney's Candy, jumping from 21st to 13th, and Blind Luck who jumped from 15th to 11th.
Earlier this summer, HRN also released Power Rankings for 2-year-olds and 2-year-old fillies.  This is a great way to track these future stars as they get their careers untracked.
The 2-year-olds are led by Kantharos, followed by J P's Gusto, Boys at Tosconova, Vengeful Wildcat and Stay Thirsty.
Position Limit leads the 2-year-old fillies, followed by Le Mi Geaux, Wickedly Perfect, Valiant Passion and Just Louise.
All of the rankings will continue to update every 30 minutes based on fan voting, and a new snapshot of the rankings will be released every Tuesday morning.
