Wynn Las Vegas sets future odds for 2018 Triple Crown

As we await a final round of preps that will set the 2018 Kentucky Derby field, the Wynn Las Vegas is already taking things a step further.

Odds provided by the race book following Saturday’s Grade 2 Rebel Stakes installed Bolt d’Oro and McKinzie as 25-1 co-favorites to sweep all three legs of this year’s Triple Crown series, including the Preakness and Belmont Stakes.

The Wynn listed 37 horses in all, with unbeaten Justify at 40-1, champion Good Magic 45-1 and Rebel winner Magnum Moon 50-1 to round out the top choices. The prices go as high as 500-1 on Sporting Chance, the D. Wayne Lukas-trained Grade 1 winner who missed the board over the weekend at Oaklawn Park.

As for whether a horse — any horse from this 3-year-old crop — will follow in American Pharoah’s footsteps as a Triple Crown winner, you can wager on that, too. The Wynn’s current line: Yes (+650), No (-900).
