Works report: Window Shopping, Twilight Gleaming work Monday

Window Shopping, who marked herself an interesting West Coast sophomore filly for the second half of the season with her 1 3/4-length victory in the Grade 2 Summertime Oaks on June 3, worked Monday for the third time since that race.

The Richard Mandella trainee worked a restrained four furlongs in 49.6 at Santa Anita. Mandella has not identified a spot for her next start.

Twilight Gleaming, who won the 2021 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint and ran second in the Queen Mary (G2) at Royal Ascot last year, also returned to the work tab Monday morning. It was the Wesley Ward trainee's first drill since her most recent trip abroad. She finished 16th behind Bradsell in the King's Stand (G1) at Royal Ascot on June 20. Before that, she began her 4-year-old season with a 1 1/2-length victory in the Giant's Causeway at Keeneland.
