Works report: White Abarrio leads 19 graded-stakes winners
Breeders' Cup Classic winner White Abarrio worked Friday morning at Santa Anita. The Rick Dustro traineer covered five furlongs in 1:00.4, sixth-fastest of 63 to cover that distance. A regular presence on the work tab since Dec. 24, White Abarrio is expected to make his 5-year-old debut in the Saudi Cup on Feb. 24.
Grade 2 winner Manny Wah, looking to bounce back from a fourth-place finish in the Holiday Inaugural at Turfway on Dec. 30, fired a five-furlong bullet over that same course Friday morning. Now trained by William Walden, the son of Will Take Charge posted a 1:00.4 time, fastest of 28 at the distance.
