Works report: Anisette, Hoosier Philly lead 15 graded winners

Two-time Grade 1 winner Anisette, unraced since winning the Grade 1 American Oaks at Santa Anita on Dec. 26, worked for the first time of her 4-year-old season on Monday morning. The Leonard Powell trainee, a daughter of Awtaad, worked three furlongs in 36.8 seconds. Her time was the second fastest of seven horses to work that distance.

Hoosier Philly, fifth behind American Band in the Matron at Oaklawn on March 30 in her most recent start, worked a bullet Monday morning at Churchill Downs. The Grade 2-winning daughter of Into Mischief, trained by Tom Amoss, drilled four furlongs in 47.6 seconds, the fastest time of 18 over the course and distance.

Bellabel (Belardo), a Grade 2 winner (2022 San Clemente), worked four furlongs in 47.4 seconds at Santa Anita on Monday morning. It was the fastest of 12 works at the distance. Her previous work was six days ago going three furlongs at Santa Anita. In her last start she placed fifth in the Buena Vista (G2) going one mile on the turf at Santa Anita on March 3 for trainer Phil D'Amato.

City Man (Mucho Macho Man), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Ft. Lauderdale), worked three furlongs in 37.0 seconds at Belmont Park on Monday morning. It was the fourth fastest of 11 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed second in the Mohawk going 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Belmont at the Big A on Oct. 29 for trainer Christophe Clement.

Conclude (Collected), a Grade 2 winner (2023 Del Mar Derby), worked three furlongs in 38.4 seconds at Santa Anita on Monday morning. It was the third fastest of three works at the distance. His previous work was six days ago going three furlongs at Santa Anita. In his last start he won the Del Mar Derby (G2) going 1 1/8 miles on the turf at Del Mar on Sept. 3 for trainer Phil D'Amato.
