Works report: Flightline and Cyberknife highlight Saturday tab

Flightline worked a bullet five furlongs Saturday morning at Del Mar, completing the distance in 59.0 seconds. It was his fifth work since he won the Met Mile (G1) June 11 at Belmont Park.

Clockers caught the son of Tapit ticking off fractions in 24.1, 35.4, and 47.2 seconds; he galloped out six furlongs in 1:11.4. After the workout, trainer John Sadler stated that he plans to work Flightline each of the next two Saturdays. He remains on course for a start in the Pacific Classic (G1) on Sept. 3 at Del Mar.

Cyberknife also returned to the worktab, making his first published move since winning the Haskell (G1) in track-record time on July 23. The Brad Cox trainee drilled four furlongs over the Saratoga dirt in 49.96 seconds. Cyberknife is probable for the Travers (G1) next, on Aug. 27 at Saratoga.
