Works: Masteroffoxhounds tops tab of graded-stakes winners
Two-time Grade 2 winner Masteroffoxhounds worked four furlongs on Wednesday at the Churchill Downs Training Center as the 8-year-old seeks to rebound from a subpar effort in his last race.
The son of War Front, owned and trained by David Jacobson, worked four furlongs in 50.0, the eighth-fastest of 12 works at the distance. His last work was four days ago at the same distance at Churchill Training.
The winner of the 2022 John Henry Turf Championship and 2021 San Marcos when under the care of Richard Baltas, finished 11th in an allowance race going 1 1/2 miles on the turf at Kentucky Downs on Sept. 4 for Jacobson. It was not immediately clear where Masteroffoxhounds would race next.

Mad House (Vekoma), a Grade 2 winner (2025 Gallant Bob), worked four furlongs in 47.1 seconds at Palm Meadows on Wednesday morning. It was the fastest of eight works at the distance. His previous work was 11 days ago going four furlongs at Palm Meadows. In his last start he won the Gallant Bob (G2) going six furlongs on the main track at Parx on Sept. 20 for trainer David VanWinkle.
One Timer (Trappe Shot), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Franklin-Simpson), worked four furlongs in 50.4 seconds at Hawthorne on Wednesday morning. It was the 13th fastest of 26 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Hawthorne.
