Works: BC Classic-bound Highland Falls is 1 of 19 graded winners
With the Breeders’ Cup Classic in his not-too-distant future, Highland Falls returned to the work tab Friday morning at Churchill Downs.
The 4-year-old Godolphin homebred colt by Curlin went a half-mile in 48.6 seconds for trainer Brad Cox. It was the second workout for Highland Falls since he won the Grade 1 Jockey Club Gold Cup on Sept. 1 at Saratoga. He is training up to the $7 million Classic on Nov. 2 at Del Mar.
