Workouts: Taiba bullet leads 11 graded winners on Friday tabs
Preparing for his expected start in the Breeders’ Cup Classic on Nov. 5 at Keeneland, Taiba turned in a bullet workout Friday morning at Santa Anita.
With wins in the Santa Anita Derby and the Pennsylvania Derby, both Grade 1s, the 3-year-old colt by Gun Runner was clocked at 59.6 seconds going five furlongs for trainer Bob Baffert. It was the fastest of 32 works over the main track at that distance.
