Workouts: Sovereignty is 1 of 24 graded winners on Sunday tab

Less than five weeks from his date in the Breeders’ Cup Classic at Del Mar, leading 3-year-old Sovereignty had a maintenance work Sunday morning at Saratoga.

The three-time Grade 1 winner was clocked going five furlongs in 1:02.8 on the Oklahoma dirt training track, which was rated fast. The Into Mischief colt under the care of Hall of Famer Bill Mott is training up to the $7 million Classic on Nov. 1 after winning the Travers (G1) on Aug. 23 at Saratoga.

In her last start, she placed second in an allowance race going six furlongs on the main track at Del Mar on Nov. 15 for trainer Richard Mandella.
