Workouts: Sovereignty is 1 of 24 graded winners on Sunday tab
Less than five weeks from his date in the Breeders’ Cup Classic at Del Mar, leading 3-year-old Sovereignty had a maintenance work Sunday morning at Saratoga.
The three-time Grade 1 winner was clocked going five furlongs in 1:02.8 on the Oklahoma dirt training track, which was rated fast. The Into Mischief colt under the care of Hall of Famer Bill Mott is training up to the $7 million Classic on Nov. 1 after winning the Travers (G1) on Aug. 23 at Saratoga.
