Workouts: Sierra Leone leads 33 graded winners on the tab
Sierra Leone, who is training up to the Breeders’ Cup Classic, returned to the work tab for the first time since he finished second to Antiquarian on Aug. 31 in the Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1) at Saratoga.
The winner of last year’s Classic was clocked at 49.0 seconds for a half-mile drill at Saratoga. That leg-stretching breeze for trainer Chad Brown was the 17th fastest of 69 four-furlong works Sunday morning on the fast Oklahoma dirt training track.
