With trainer Bob Baffert considering him for a start next month in the Grade 1, $1 million Pennsylvania Derby, Muth worked Sunday morning at Del Mar.

Unraced for nearly five months, the 3-year-old Good Magic colt went seven furlongs in 1:25.0, the fastest of three workouts at that distance on the fast main track.

A $2 million colt owned by Zedan Racing Stables, Muth has not raced since he won the Arkansas Derby (G1) on March 30. A fever kept him from starting as the likely favorite May 18 in the Preakness. The Pennsylvania Derby, which Baffert has won a record four times, will be run Sept. 21 at Parx.
