Workouts: Dubyuhnell is 1 of 13 graded-stakes winners on tab
Being prepared for his second start off a seven-month break, Dubyuhnell had a half-mile workout Thursday morning at Palm Meadows in Florida.
The winner of the Grade 2 Remsen Stakes in 2022 was clocked at 51.9 seconds. Trainer Danny Gargan said in a Horse Racing Nation Barn Tour this week that the 3-year-old Good Magic colt owned by West Paces Racing and Stonestreet Stables will be aimed for the Harlan’s Holiday (G3) on Dec. 30 at Gulfstream Park.

His previous work was eight days ago going four furlongs at Palm Meadows. In his last start he won an allowance race going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Keeneland on Oct. 28 for trainer Danny Gargan.
Master Piece (Mastercraftsman), a two-time Grade 2 winner (2023 Red Smith, 2022 Eddie Read), worked five furlongs in 1:03.5 at Belmont Park. It was the ninth fastest of 11 works at the distance. His previous work was six days ago going five furlongs at Belmont Park. In his last start he won the Red Smith (G2) going 1 3/8 miles on the turf at Aqueduct on Nov. 11 for trainer Rick Dutrow.
Bellabel (Belardo), a Grade 2 winner (2022 San Clemente), worked three furlongs in 36.6 seconds at Los Alamitos. It was the second fastest of five works at the distance. Her previous work was 33 days ago going four furlongs at Los Alamitos. In her last start she placed third in the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup (G1) going 1 1/8 miles on the turf at Keeneland on Oct. 15 for trainer Phil D’Amato.
Private Creed (Jimmy Creed), a Grade 2 winner (2023 Franklin-Simpson), worked four furlongs in 49.8 seconds at Fair Grounds. It was the 45th fastest of 84 works at the distance. His previous work was six days ago going four furlongs at Fair Grounds. In his last start he won an allowance race going 5 1/2 furlongs on the turf at Churchill Downs on Nov. 9 for trainer Steve Asmussen.
Ready to Purrform (Kitten’s Joy), a Grade 2 winner (2022 National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame), worked three furlongs in 37.8 seconds at Churchill Downs. It was the third fastest of three works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed fifth in an allowance race going 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Keeneland on April 20 for trainer Brad Cox.
Best Actor (Flatter), a Grade 3 winner (2022 Smarty Jones), worked four furlongs in 49.8 seconds at Churchill Downs. It was the 16th fastest of 18 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he won an allowance race going one mile on the main track at Churchill Downs on Nov. 23 for Cox.
