Three-time stakes winner Defining Purpose returned to the work tab Saturday, going a half-mile in 49.2 seconds at Saratoga.

The 3-year-old Cross Traffic filly, who won the Grade 3 Indiana Oaks before finishing third in the Alabama (G1) at Saratoga, does not have a target yet for her next start. Trainer Kenny McPeek has raced her six times this year with a victory in the Ashland (G1) at Keeneland being the highlight.

Santin (Distorted Humor), a two-time Grade 1 winner (2022 Arlington Million, 2022 Turf Classic), worked five furlongs in 1:02.0 at Turfway Park. It was the ninth fastest of 17 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Turfway Park. War Like Goddess (English Channel), a two-time Grade 1 winner (2022 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic, 2021 Flower Bowl), worked four furlongs in 50.2 seconds at Saratoga.
