In what probably was the next-to-last breeze of his career, Cody’s Wish had the fastest five-furlong workout Friday morning on the Oklahoma training track at Saratoga.
The popular 5-year-old horse was clocked at 1:01.4 on the fast, dirt course.
A Godolphin homebred by Curlin, Cody’s Wish is being prepared by Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott to defend his victory in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile. The race will be run Nov. 4 at Santa Anita.
