Workouts: Bob's Edge tunes up for Count Fleet Sprint
Bob's Edge, winner of the Whitmore (G3) at Oaklawn Park on March 19, returned to the work tab on Monday. Oaklawn clockers caught the son of Competitive Edge going 5 furlongs in 1:01.0 in his tune-up before the Count Fleet Sprint Handicap (G3) on Apr. 16.
It was the 4-year-old's first workout since winning the Whitmore for trainer Larry Jones and owners Michael Freeny, Patricia Freeny, and Jennifer Grayson Taylor. Bob's Edge drew the outer post among a field of six for the Count Fleet, where he will clash with 2021 champion sprinter Jackie's Warrior.
