The harsh weather that resulted in no racing Tuesday appears to have affected the work tab as well.

Only two graded-stakes winners had works Tuesday, both at Gulfstream Park.

Atone, who is 0-for-6 since winning last year's Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup Turf, worked five furlongs in 1:00.9 ahead of another expected start in this year's edition. And Giant Game, last seen finishing eighth in the Clark (G2), breezed four furlongs in 48.6 seconds.

Only two horses listed in Kentucky Derby futures in Nevada, long shots Iridescent and Squints, worked on Tuesday.

Here are details of Tuesday's published works.

Atone (Into Mischief), a Grade 1 winner (2023 Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational), worked five furlongs in 1:00.9 at Gulfstream Park on Tuesday morning. It was the fourth fastest of seven works at the distance. His previous work was eight days ago going five furlongs at Gulfstream Park. In his last start he placed third in an allowance race going one mile on the turf at Gulfstream Park on Dec. 2 for trainer Mike Maker.

Giant Game (Giant's Causeway), a Grade 3 winner (2023 Prairie Meadows Cornhusker Handicap), worked four furlongs in 48.6 seconds at Gulfstream Park on Tuesday morning. It was the fifth fastest of 17 works at the distance. His previous work was eight days ago going four furlongs at Gulfstream Park. In his last start he placed eighth in the Clark (G2) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Churchill Downs on Nov. 24 for trainer Dale Romans.

Derby contenders

Iridescent (City of Light) worked three furlongs in 38.8 seconds at Belmont Park on Tuesday morning. It was the sixth fastest of seven works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he won a starter allowance race going six furlongs on the main track at Aqueduct on Jan. 5 for trainer David Jacobson.
