Grade 1-winning marathon turf horses Speaking Scout and Therapist topped the list of graded-stakes winners recording timed workouts on Saturday.

Speaking Scout, who captured the 2022 Hollywood Derby at Santa Anita, worked five furlongs in 1:06.6 at Fair Hill, the sixth fastest of 14 works at the distance. 

The Graham Motion-trained son of Mr Speaker finished third in his last race, the 1 1/4-mile John Henry Turf Championship (G2) at Santa Anita on Oct. 1.

Motion has not announced plans for the 4-year-old's next start. 

Later on Saturday, 8-year-old Therapist breezed four furlongs in 48.8 seconds at the Churchill Training Center, recording the fifth-fastest time of 25 works at the distance.

The Mike Maker-trained son of Freud, winner of the United Nations (G1) on July 22 at Monmouth Park, last raced in the Sycamore (G3) at Keeneland on Oct. 13. 

Maker has not announced plans for Therapist's next start.

His previous work was 14 days ago going five furlongs at Fair Hill. In his last start he placed third in the John Henry Turf Championship (G2) going 1 1/4 miles on the turf at Santa Anita on Oct. 1 for trainer Graham Motion.

Therapist (Freud), a Grade 1 winner (2023 United Nations), worked four furlongs in 48.8 seconds at Churchill Training on Saturday morning. It was the fifth fastest of 25 works at the distance. His previous work was nine days ago going four furlongs at Churchill Training. In his last start he placed seventh in the Sycamore (G3) going 1 1/2 miles on the turf at Keeneland on Oct. 13 for trainer Mike Maker.

Fluffy Socks (Slumber), a two-time Grade 2 winner (2023 Churchill Distaff Turf Mile, 2021 Sands Point), worked four furlongs in 49.2 seconds at Belmont Park on Saturday morning. It was the 58th fastest of 126 works at the distance. This was her first work since her last race. In her last start she placed third in the Athenia going 1 1/8 miles on the turf at Belmont at the Big A on Oct. 27 for trainer Chad Brown.

Chewing Gum (Candy Ride), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Joe Hernandez), worked three furlongs in 38.0 seconds at Belmont Park on Saturday morning. It was the 14th fastest of 21 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed fifth in an allowance race going six furlongs on the turf at Belmont at the Big A on Oct. 27 for trainer Bill Mott.

Everso Mischievous (Into Mischief), a Grade 2 winner (2023 Forty Niner), worked four furlongs in 49.2 seconds at Churchill Downs on Saturday morning. It was the 68th fastest of 107 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he won the Forty Niner (G2) going one mile on the main track at Belmont at the Big A on Oct. 28 for trainer Brad Cox.

Long Range Toddy (Take Charge Indy), a Grade 2 winner (2019 Rebel), worked five furlongs in 1:01.1 at Gulfstream Park on Saturday morning. It was the third fastest of 16 works at the distance. His previous work was 21 days ago going four furlongs at Gulfstream Park. In his last start he won a handicap going one mile on the main track at Gulfstream Park on Aug. 26 for trainer Victor Barboza.

Nolde (Pioneerof the Nile), a Grade 2 winner (2019 Del Mar Derby), worked four furlongs in 47.6 seconds at Golden Gate Fields on Saturday morning. It was the seventh fastest of 79 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he won a claiming race going 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Golden Gate Fields on Oct. 30 for trainer Steve Sherman.

Value Engineering (Lemon Drop Kid), a Grade 2 winner (2023 Mac Diarmida), worked five furlongs in 1:00.6 at Turfway Park on Saturday morning. It was the 17th fastest of 39 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going five furlongs at Turfway Park. In his last start he placed eighth in the Man o' War (G1) going 1 3/8 miles on the turf at Belmont Park on May 13 for trainer Mike Maker.

Heywoods Beach (Speightstown), a two-time Grade 3 winner (2022 Tokyo City Cup, 2022 Cougar II), worked five furlongs in 1:01.2 at Santa Anita on Saturday morning. It was the 11th fastest of 34 works at the distance. His previous work was six days ago going five furlongs at Santa Anita. In his last start he placed ninth in the Santa Anita Handicap (G1) going 1 1/4 miles on the main track at Santa Anita on March 4 for trainer John Sadler.

Yes This Time (Not This Time), a Grade 3 winner (2021 Kent), worked six furlongs in 1:15.0 at San Luis Rey on Saturday morning. It was the slower of two works at the distance.
