It remains to be seen where she will begin her 6-year-old season. For now Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint winner Ce Ce has been turning in regular workouts at Santa Anita.
The Elusive Quality mare bred and owned by Bo Hirsch was clocked at 1:00.2 going five furlongs Sunday morning. It was her fifth timed workout since her signature victory Nov. 6 at Del Mar.

Trainer Michael McCarthy told Horse Racing Nation he has “nothing picked out yet" for Ce Ce’s first race of 2022. Last year she began her campaign with an April allowance victory at Santa Anita.

Regal Glory (Animal Kingdom), a Grade 1 winner (2021 Matriarch), worked four furlongs in 49.0 seconds at Payson Park Training Center on Sunday morning. It was the third fastest of seven works at the distance. Her previous work was six days ago going four furlongs at Payson Park. In her last start she won the Matriarch (G1) going one mile on the turf at Del Mar on Nov. 28 for trainer Chad Brown.
Channel Cat (English Channel), a Grade 1 winner (2021 Man o’ War), worked four furlongs in 48.9 seconds on turf at Palm Meadows Training Center on Sunday morning. It was the second fastest of 10 works at the distance. His previous work was nine days ago going four furlongs at Palm Meadows. In his last start he placed second in the Red Smith (G2) going 1 3/8 miles on the turf at Aqueduct on Nov. 20 for trainer Jack Sisterson.
Princess Grace (Karakontie), a two-time Grade 2 winner (2021 Yellow Ribbon Handicap, 2020 Mrs. Revere), worked four furlongs in 50.3 seconds at Gulfstream Park on Sunday morning. It was the slowest of 11 works at the distance. This was her first work since her last race. Cross Border (English Channel), a two-time Grade 2 winner (2021 Bowling Green 2020, Bowling Green), worked four furlongs in 48.4 seconds at Turfway Park on Sunday morning.
