Sunday's racing at Woodbine has been canceled "out of an abundance of caution" as extreme weather is expected, the Toronto-area track said in a news release.

Damaging winds are expected in Southern Ontario, with Environment Canada forecasting morning gusts of 60-80 km/hour (37-50 miles per hour) in the morning and 90-110 km/hour (56-68 mph) beginning Sunday afternoon.

The $100,000 Frost King Stakes scheduled for Sunday will be rescheduled, according to the release, and racing will resume at the track on Thursday.
