With the Angels looks to go 6-for-6 at Aqueduct on Sunday
With the Angels, a 3-year-old filly trained by Linda Rice, will try to go 6-for-6 with her next start Sunday at Aqueduct in an optional-claiming allowance going six furlongs.
The Omaha Beach filly had been off for nearly a year when she returned Oct. 16 with a 2 1/2-length win in an open allowance at the Belmont at Aqueduct meet. It also was her first start against open company, which she will face again Sunday.

"It was a great trip," Rice told Horse Racing Nation on Thursday. "She overcame some obstacles, and that's always nice to see."
Flavien Prat was on board for the win, but With the Angels will have Jose Lezcano on board Sunday.
Rice said the Garland of Roses is under consideration for With the Angels's next start. The six-furlong race for fillies and mares 3 and up will be at Aqueduct on Dec. 7.
With the Angels debuted in August 2024 with an 11 1/2-length win in a maiden special weight at Saratoga. Her next three races all were by open lengths in stakes races for New York-breds at Aqueduct.
Then she was given a rest until returning to training in February, but Rice felt she needed more time and rested her until August.
“Things weren’t going just right for her, and I brought her back in February after a three-month break and wasn’t satisfied with the way she was doing,” Rice told the New York Racing Association media team after her October victory. “I said, ‘she needs more time.’ It took a lot of patience by everyone involved, but everyone was wonderful and I’m just glad we got her back to the winner’s circle.”
Owned by Winning Move Stable, John Oxley, Lady Sheila Stable, Rideau Racers and Sanford Robbins, With the Angels was purchased at the OBS 2-year-olds in training sale for $350,000.
