Wise Dan vs. Excelebration in BC Mile
It's Europe vs. America as classy overseas invader Excelebration squares off against razor sharp US hope Wise Dan in Saturday's Grade I Breeders' Cup Mile at Santa Anita Park.
Excelebration has won six of his last ten and Frankel bested him in his four losses. He exits back-to-back group one wins at a flat mile and is an obvious threat for Aidan O'Brien.
Wise Dan shoots for graded turf mile four-bagger on Saturday and he figures in the thick of things throughout from post position 2.
Obviously has won three straight flat mile turf events and figures to attempt a wire job under Joe Talamo.
2011 Kentucky Derby hero Animal Kingdom makes his first start in more than eight months. He was right there is both turf starts and will try to get involved late under new pilot Rafael Bejarano.
Mr. Commons, Jeranimo, Willcox Inn, Suggestive Boy, and Moonlight Cloud round out the field.
