Wise Dan won the Phoenix S. (G3) at Keeneland last fall and he makes his first start in more than four months when he returns to action in Saturday's Commonwealth S. (G3).
Charles Lopresti's 4-year-old gelding has been installed as the 7-5 morning line favorite and his aforementioned Pohenix tally was accomplished off a five month break. Julien Leparoux is 2-for-2 with the tactical threat.
Aikenite drew the rail for Todd Pletcher. He won a seven panel allowance race at Keeneland last fall and exits a clear place finish behind talented sprinter Apriority at Gulfstream Park. The 9-5 second choice will be running late under John Velazquez in his second start off a layoff.
Le Grand Cru, Cool Bullet, and Taqarub complete the compact field.
