Wise Dan Pummels Fayette Foes

Wise Dan came away with the lead coming off the turn and ran away to a four-length victory in the $150,000 Fayette Stakes (gr. II) on closing day of Keeneland Oct.29.

The 4-year-old son of Wiseman’s Ferry recorded his third stakes win in his last four starts. The chestnut gelding is a Kentucky homebred of Morton Fink and is trained by Charles Lopresti. He was guided to victory by Julien Leparoux, who scored five winners on the day and wrapped up another meet title in Lexington. He finished with 33 winners during the 17-day stand.
