Australian champion Winx will prepare for a return to the races Monday in a trial featuring dual Group 1 winner Redzel, according to Racing.com.

Following the trial, Winx will point to the Group 2 Apollo Stakes at Randwick Racecourse Feb. 17, the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes and the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

A field of nine is set for Monday’s trial. Winx rounded out 2017 with her third Group 1 Cox Plate win. It was the 22nd straight victory for the 7-year-old Street Cry mare.

Redzel, winner of last year's Darley Classic and the inaugural The Everest, the world's richest race on turf, will use the barrier to point to the Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning Stakes at Flemington on Feb. 17.

Other Group 1 winners in the trial include Trapeze Artist and Ace High.

Winx has won 26 of her 32 career starts, including 15 Group 1 victories.
