WinStar Farm’s Overanalyze, the Grade 1-winning millionaire by Dixie Union, sired his first winner on Thursday when 2-year-old colt Analyze the Odds drew off to an impressive 4 ½-length debut victory in a $100,000 Maiden Special Weight race at Aqueduct.
Trained by Todd Pletcher for Repole Stable, the bay colt moved five-wide on the turn to overtake the early pacesetter and draw away in the stretch of the 4 ½-furlong race. The final time was 52.53 seconds over a fast local main track.
Bred by Lansdowne Thoroughbreds, Analyze the Odds is out of the young Mineshaft mare The Sense Angel. He earned $50,000 for the win for owner Repole Stable, which also campaigned Overanalyze during his racing career under the tutelage of Todd Pletcher.
On the track, Overanalyze was one of the top 2-year-olds of his crop, winning the five-furlong Futurity S. (G2) at Belmont and nine-furlong Remsen S. (G2) at Aqueduct. He captured his biggest victory as a 3-year-old, decisively winning the $1 million Arkansas Derby (G1) at Oaklawn. Overanalyze retired to WinStar as a millionaire, with career earnings of $1,046,381.
Overanalyze currently stands for a fee of $10,000 stands and nurses. For more information about Overanalyze, please contact Kyle Wilson, Caroline Walsh, or Liam O’Rourke at 859-873-1717, or visit WinStarFarm.com.
