After two years of being a bridesmaid in almost every G1 she entered, Whale Capture finally snagged her own G1 title yesterday in the 7th running of the Victoria Mile. It was a great ride by Norihiro Yokoyama, who kept the filly near the pace setters and out of traffic to be able to win fairly easily against competition that had been finishing in front of her for years.
