Wes Welker Popped for Kentucky Derby Day Molly

Wes Welker was apparently experiencing much more than just a "winner's high" when he was spotted passing out $100 bills to the crowd at the Kentucky Derby. Sources at NBC's Pro Football Talk blog say the Denver Broncos wide receiver was suspended for a positive drug test taken in the days after the May 3 race that turned up traces of the notorious party drug known as Molly, or ecstacy. But this wasn't just your average Saturday night rave EX - this stuff was spiked with even more amphetamines.
It's a good thing his Derby payout was reportedly $57,000 - that should be enough pocket change to keep him afloat through the 4-game suspension.
While we never condone partaking of banned substances, we do have to give Welker props for his embrace of the Derby's more decadent and depraved traditions. Hunter S. Thompson would have been proud.
Welker denies the allegations.
