We're All Set gets his revenge in Sea of Grass

We’re All Set avenged a recent stakes loss to Yourdreamsormine Sunday at Gulfstream Park while capturing the $75,000 Sea of Grass Stakes under a perfectly executed ride by Rafael Hernandez, who made three visits to the winner’s circle.

“I told him (Hernandez) in the paddock. You can run this race five times and get five winners,” trainer Peter Walder said. “It’s all about the trip. It was a very competitive race. It was just about who tripped out. Today, it was us.”

Hernandez, who returned to action last week after being sidelined by serious injuries for four months, rated We’re All Set ($13.20) a few lengths off the pace before urging him through the stretch to prevail by a half-length. Milt Wolfson-trained Yourdreamsormine, the even-money favorite who defeated We’re All Set by two lengths in the Bull Gator Stakes May 13, rallied from far back to finish second, another half-length ahead of Abounding Legacy.

Claimed for $25,000 last year for owners David Lengel, Norman Rader and Brett Brookman, We’re All Set ran 6 ½ furlongs in 1:16.33 to collect his fifth victory for his new connections.

Hernandez also scored aboard Lobelia ($6.40) in the fifth and Eagle Spirit ($4.60) in the seventh.

Emisael Jaramillo also scored three times aboard  Old Times Sake ($4) in the second, Gran Chama ($7.80) in the sixth and Hy Land Warrior ($4) in the 11th.

Rainbow 6 Carryover at $102,569 for Thursday’s Mandatory Payout

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the 13th consecutive racing day at Gulfstream Park Sunday, leaving a carryover jackpot of $102,569.72 for a scheduled mandatory payout when live racing resumes on Thursday.

Multiple tickets with all six winners Sunday were each worth $1,325.88.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

However, on ‘mandatory payout’ days, the entire pool, including the carryover, is paid out to those holding tickets with the most winners.

Thursday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 5-10.
