We're All Set Ready for Revenge in Sea of Grass

Trainer Peter Walder is confident that We’re All Set is all set for a rematch with Yourdreamsormine and Grande Shores in Sunday’s $75,000 Sea of Grass Stakes at Gulfstream Park.

In the May 13 Bull Gator Stakes, the 5-year-old gelding finished second, three lengths behind Yourdreamsormine, before being disqualified and placed behind third-place finisher Grande Shores for interference on the turn into the stretch.

“He’s training really good for the race,” Walder said. “Last time, it was a weird race. He broke and Grande Shores tackled him early. We pretty much set it up for Yourdreamsormine.”

We’re All Set has won four of eight starts for Walder since being claimed for $25,000 last year for David Lengel, Norman Rader and Brett Brookman.

“He’s as honest as the day is long. It took a while to figure him out, but as you can tell, he appreciates time between his races,” Walder said.

While We’re All Set hasn’t run since the Bull Gator, a stakes restricted to Florida-bred horses, both Yourdreamsormine and Grande Shores ran back in the Parrot Key Stakes June 4.

N T S Stable’s Yourdreamsormine finished a respectable second behind highly regarded Requite in the open six-furlong stakes, while Jacks or Better Farm’s Grande Shores finished an uncharacteristic fifth.

Yourdreamsormine, who captured the $150,000 FSS Unbridled Stakes last year, has returned to form since joining trainer Milt Wolfson in April.

Grande Shores, a $600,000 earner who has finished first or second in 33 of 56 career starts, captured the Sir Shackleton on Florida Derby Day prior to running in the Bull Gator, his first start for trainer Mark Casse.

Mitos Y Leyendas, who finished third in the Parrot Key; Sing Praises, a multiple-stakes winner set to make his 2016 debut;  and Abounding Legacy, an impressive allowance winner last time out; are among the more prominent candidates for the Sea of Grass, a 6 ½-furlong stakes for Florida-bred horses.

Aces for John, Springmeier, Master Blender and Colormepompom round out the field.

Saturday’s Rainbow 6 Carryover Jackpot Stands at $72,274

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot swelled to $72,274.93 for Saturday’s 11-race program at Gulfstream Park when the popular multi-race wager went unsolved for the 11th consecutive racing day Friday.

Multiple tickets with all six winners Friday were each worth $12,952.70.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Saturday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 6-11 and will be highlighted by the $75,000 Boca Chica, a 6 ½-furlong stakes for Florida-bred fillies and mares. Multiple stakes winner Dogwood Trail will renew her rivalry with Moment of Delight in the ninth-race feature.
