Track:  Belmont Park

Race: 8  Post Time: 4:46pm ET

Wednesday's 8th race from Belmont Park (10-18-17) is a $62,000 entry level Allowance event for NY-bred 3-year-olds and up traveling seven furlongs on the main track.

#4 BOURBON EMPIRE (7-2) exceeded the winning par for this in a rallying show finish vs. similar extended sprinters at Saratoga Aug 24 and the runner-up was a next out winner. His lone Belmont Park outing resulted in an easy debut maiden sprint win last fall and Jose Lezcano is 1-for-1 with Mark Hennig.

#9 Rock Doc (5-2) moved from Peter Eurton in Southern California to Brian Lynch on the East Coast and promptly graduated at this course and distance off a layoff Sept 10. There is not much pace in the paper race and he should be forwardly placed from the outside post under Luis Saez.

The Plays:

#4 to win

Exacta Box 4-9
