Wednesday’s 2nd race from Delta Downs (2-21-17) is a $49,000 allowance event for LA-bred 4-year-olds and up which have never won three races. They will be dashing six and one-half furlongs on the main track.
#1 Adios Yankee (9-2) returned from a layoff and earned improved numbers in back-to-back solid local efforts at five furlongs on Jan. 4 and Feb. 8. He graduated in his lone try at this distance and must be respected in his current form. He looms an inside pace factor at the very least.
#3 Warned (5-2) invades from Fair Grounds for +ROI shipping trainer Patrick Mouton. He is 2-for-6 on dirt, fired a bullet for this Feb. 14, and should be heard from late.
#7 Masterly (9-2) has not won in quite some time and turns back after running last in a local route in the slop. He landed the show vs. open company at this level Jan. 10 and might be able to complete the trifecta.
The Plays:
#1 to win
Exacta Box 1-3
Trifecta 1-3/ALL/7
