Two Emmys won two of three starts last year, including the Muniz Memorial presented by Horse Racing Nation (G2), before taking a seven-month break. He returned with a second-place finish in the Colonel E.R. Bradley in January and then won the Fair Grounds presented by Horse Racing Nation (G3) last out in February.

He had two works since then in March and then was off the tab until Wednesday.
