Wednesday works: Stilleto Boy leads 7 on the tab

Stilleto Boy, who hasn't had a start since finishing seventh in the Grade 2 San Pascual in January, returned to the tab this month at Turfway Park.

The 6-year-old gelding breezed three furlongs in 38.4 seconds, slowest of four at the the distance. It was his second work since the San Pascual after he went three furlongs in 40.4 seconds last Wednesday.

Stilleto Boy, trained by Ed Moger Jr., is 0-for-6 since winning the Santa Anita Handicap (G1) in March 2023.

He was one of seven graded-stakes winners with published works Wednesday.

It was the 21st fastest of 22 works at the distance. His previous work was six days ago going four furlongs at Woodbine. In his last start he placed fourth in the bet365 Eclipse (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the synthetic at Woodbine on June 1 for trainer Mark Casse.

Evvie Jets (Twirling Candy), a Grade 2 winner (2023 Ballston Spa), worked three furlongs in 39.4 seconds at Saratoga on Wednesday morning. It was the sixth fastest of six works at the distance.
