Wednesday works: Prince Abama leads graded-stakes winners
Prince Abama, winner of the Grade 3 San Marcos on Feb. 5, got back to work Wednesday at Santa Anita.
The 6-year-old gelding went five furlongs in 1:00.6, the second fastest of 11 at the distance.
Trained by Phil D'Amato, Prince Abama won the Hollywood Turf Cup (G2) in November and was fourth in the San Gabriel (G2) in December before returning in the San Marcos, which he won by a neck after a rally in the stretch.
