Wednesday works: Il Miracolo drills ahead of Whitney start

Il Miracolo, 20-1 on the morning line for Saturday's Grade 1 Whitney, worked at Saratoga Wednesday morning for trainer Antonio Salo.

The 4-year-old Gun Runner colt breezed four furlongs from the gate in 49.02 seconds, seventh fastest of 27 at the distance. Wednesday's work was his fourth at Saratoga this month.

In his most recent start, Il Miracolo was third in the Alysheba (G1) on the Kentucky Oaks undercard.
