Wednesday works: 7 graded-stakes winners are on the tab
Il Miracolo, winner of the Grade 3 Ghostzapper two starts back, worked at Saratoga Wednesday morning ahead of an expected start in Saturday's Philip H. Iselin Stakes (G3) at Monmouth Park.
The 4-year-old Gun Runner colt breezed four furlongs in 47.95 seconds, eighth fastest of 30 at the distance.
He had been entered in the Whitney (G1) on Aug. 3, but trainer Antonio Sano opted for the Iselin instead, with a later goal being the Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1) on Sept. 1 at Saratoga.
