Wednesday works: 11 graded-stakes winners are on the tab

Seismic Beauty, winner of the Grade 2 Santa Margarita last out in her first stakes attempt, fired a bullet for trainer Bob Baffert at Santa Anita on Wednesday morning.

The 4-year-old Uncle Mo filly worked six furlongs in 1:11.0, fastest of six workers at the distance.

Seismic Beauty, who sold for $550,000 as a yearling to MyRacehorse and Peter Leidel, did not race as a juvenile. Last year, she was second on debut and then won a maiden special weight, both at Del Mar. She's finished in the money in each of her six career starts and won an optional-claiming allowance at Santa Anita before the Santa Margarita.

Fiona's Magic (St Patrick's Day), a Grade 2 winner (2024 Davona Dale), worked four furlongs in 49.0 seconds at Delaware Park on Wednesday morning. It was the third fastest of 10 works at the distance. This was her first work since her last race. In her last start she placed fifth in the Alma North going 6 1/2 furlongs on the main track at Laurel Park on June 28 for trainer Edward Allard.

Katonah (Klimt), a Grade 2 winner (2025 San Pasqual), worked four furlongs in 49.2 seconds at Keeneland on Wednesday morning. It was the 13th fastest of 21 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed fifth in an allowance race going one mile on the main track at Churchill Downs on June 1 for trainer Doug O'Neill.

Richi (Practical Joke), a Grade 2 winner (2025 Santa Maria), worked six furlongs in 1:11.2 at Santa Anita on Wednesday morning. It was the second fastest of six works at the distance. Her previous work was nine days ago going four furlongs at Santa Anita. In her last start she won the Santa Maria (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Santa Anita on April 19 for trainer Bob Baffert.
