Wednesday tab: Arthur's Ride leads 13 graded-stakes winners

Arthur's Ride, unraced since finishing 12th in the Breeders' Cup Classic, is back at work for trainer Bill Mott.

The 5-year-old son of Tapit breezed four furlongs at Saratoga in 49.63 seconds, eighth fastest of 23 at the distance.

Arthur's Ride, winner of the Grade 1 Whitney last year, returned to the tab April 25 at Payson Park. After two works there, he began training at Saratoga.

Arthur's Ride was one of 13 graded-stakes winners with published works Wednesday.

Kopion (Omaha Beach), a two-time Grade 1 winner (2025 Derby City Distaff, 2024 La Brea), worked five furlongs in 59.6 seconds at Santa Anita on Wednesday morning. It was the third fastest of nine works at the distance. Her previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Santa Anita. In her last start she won the Derby City Distaff (G1) going seven furlongs on the main track at Churchill Downs on May 3 for trainer Richard Mandella.

Sweet Azteca (Sharp Azteca), a Grade 1 winner (2024 Beholder Mile), worked five furlongs in 58.8 seconds at Santa Anita on Wednesday morning. It was the fastest of nine works at the distance. Her previous work was 17 days ago going four furlongs at Santa Anita. In her last start she placed fourth in the Chillingworth (G3) going 6 1/2 furlongs on the main track at Santa Anita on Oct. 5 for trainer Michael McCarthy.

Fiona's Magic (St Patrick's Day), a Grade 2 winner (2024 Davona Dale), worked five furlongs in 1:02.8 at Delaware Park on Wednesday morning. It was the third fastest of six works at the distance. Her previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Delaware Park. In her last start she placed 14th in the Kentucky Oaks (G1) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Churchill Downs on May 3 for trainer Michael Yates.

Hoosier Philly (Into Mischief), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Golden Rod), worked four furlongs in 49.0 seconds at Churchill Downs on Wednesday morning. It was the 26th fastest of 65 works at the distance.
