Wednesday’s fastest speed figures from Horse Racing Nation

Smooth B delivered Wednesday's top performance with an impressive 131 Horse Racing Nation speed figure at Delaware Park. The 10-year-old horse by Weigelia prevailed at 5-1 odds in a 5 1/2-furlong, optional-claiming allowance on dirt. This marked his 13th career victory in his 66th career start.

Imagine the Moon recorded a 130 HRN speed figure at Horseshoe Indianapolis, securing victory as the 3-5 favorite in a six-furlong, dirt allowance race. The 5-year-old mare by Ready's Image collected her eighth career win from 23 lifetime starts.

Bailintin completed the top three performers with a 128 HRN speed figure at Colonial Downs in a one-mile dirt allowance optional claimer. The 4-year-old filly by Girvin went off at long odds of 44-1. This represented her fourth career win from 26 starts.

Maiden winners showcase potential

Iron Dome produced the top maiden performance with a 112 HRN speed figure at Saratoga. The 3-year-old colt by Into Mischief won a 1 1/8-mile dirt maiden special weight as the 4-5 favorite in his fifth career start. He is out of Speightful Affair, a Grade 3-placed daughter of Speightstown whose top offspring include Mr. Buff, a Grade 3-placed runner with earnings of $1.4 million.

Palace Lights earned a 102 HRN speed figure at Colonial Downs in a 1 1/16-mile turf maiden claiming event. The 4-year-old filly by Palace Malice won at odds of 5-1 in her 10th career start. Her dam Little Cyclone by City Zip produced C F V Bullet, an earner of $137,000.

Lundi Loot impressed with a 102 HRN speed figure in his racing debut at Delaware Park. The 2-year-old gelding by First Mondays captured a 5 1/2-furlong dirt maiden claiming race as the 6-5 favorite. He is out of Persnickity, a daughter of Value Plus who earned $425,000 during her career and has produced Finicky, an earner of $59,000.
