Wednesday night Turfway Park live stream: Beat the favorites

Through Monday, 59 tracks have conducted at least 75 races since May 1, and only Turfway Park has a favorite strike rate of less than 30 percent.

In fact, three of the lowest four tracks are in Kentucky with Kentucky Downs ranked second at 30.2 percent and Keeneland fourth at 32.7 percent. Oaklawn is third at 30.4 percent.

Mark Midland and Ed DeRosa will try to navigate the non-chalky waters and cash in on some of the big payouts on the Horse Racing Nation live stream beginning Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. EST. It will covering the first five races with the early Pick 5 beginning with race 1, the early Pick 4 with race 2, the single 6 with race 4 and the late Pick 5 with race 5.

So far this meeting, the Pick 5 has paid an average of $13,600 with an average pool size of $124,383. Of course, with big field sizes and Turfway ranking second at 10.1 horses per race, there are big, vertical payouts as well with dime supers averaging $523.

And as you can see here, the Wednesday payouts in particular are even higher:

In addition to their handicapping insight and wagering strategy, Mark and Ed will share statistical information from HRN's database, including information on debut runners for the three races Wednesday that include first-time starters.
