Due to severe thunderstorms and torrential rain impacting the Saratoga region, the New York Racing Association canceled the final four races of Friday’s card at Saratoga, including the co-featured Grade 2, $500,000 National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame, a one-mile inner turf test for sophomores, has been rescheduled for next Friday with entries to be redrawn Sunday.

NYRA directed players who had wagers impacted by the cancellation to its website for wagering refund and payout information.

The National Weather Service warned that some thunderstorms in and around Saratoga Springs, N.Y., could be severe with large hail, damaging wind and heavy rain. The storms were predicted to last as late as 10 p.m. EDT with more than a quarter-inch of rain possible.

The forecast for the rest of the weekend looked much better, with a mostly sunny sky, calm wind and highs of 81 degrees on Saturday and 82 on Sunday.
