Way too Much collared Emancipated in deep stretch and notched a 1 ¾-length victory Thursday in the $12,100 Ashbaugh Beal Purse for older horses at Emerald Downs.

With Ricky Frazier riding at 122 lbs., Way too Much ran one mile in 1:36 on a wet-fast track and paid $5.60, $4.20 and $2.80. Nine-time Emerald Downs training champion Tim McCanna saddled the winner for owner Quadrun Farm LLC.

Bred in Kentucky by Tadahiro Hotehama, Way too Much won his second straight race and his seventh in 22 career starts. The 5-year-old son of Pleasant Tap earned $6,655 to increase his career mark to $74,518.
