Watch: Trailer for feature film 'Dream Horse' starring Toni Collette

The makers of Dream Horse, starring Academy Award nominee Toni Collette, released their trailer Wednesday for a tale of a true story of the horse Dream Alliance, bred by a small town Welsh bartender.

With very little money and no experience, Jan Vokes (played by Collette) convinces her neighbors to chip in their meager earnings to help raise Dream Alliance in the hopes he can compete with the racing elites.  The group's investment pays off as "Dream" rises through the ranks with grit and determination and goes on to race in the Welsh Grand National.

An feature film adaptation of 2015's Dark Horse, Dream Horse also stars Damian Lewis (of HBO's Band of Brothers and Showtime's Homeland). Dream Horse is due in theaters May 1 -- or, as we know it here, Kentucky Oaks day.
