A new documentary produced by TVG -- “Jockey Diaries: A Year with Joe Talamo” -- provides viewers with a behind-the-scenes look at the life and times of the Eclipse Award-winning jockey.

Talamo, 30, has ridden 2,035 winners in his career and is currently the second-leading rider at Oaklawn Park. In the 39-minute show, TVG cameras and crew are provided all access to offer a glimpse into the world of a top-level jockey, both on and off the track.

Talamo, a native of Terrytown, La., launched  his jockey career in 2006 and won the Eclipse Award as champion apprentice jockey the following season. After being a fixture on the Southern California circuit since early in his career, Talamo this winter made the career-altering decision to shift his tack from Santa Anita Park to Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Ark.
