Watch: Handicap Queen's Plate 2022 with a Woodbine expert

Woodbine's Queen's Plate on Sunday will highlight a 13-race card. Handicapper Ed DeRosa is joined by Woodbine expert Sheri Riddoch, and they discuss each contender in depth.

A filly takes on the boys in No. 8 Moira (5-2 morning line), and both DeRosa and Riddoch agree she's likely the horse to beat. They go over her accomplishments on the racetrack and the potential race dynamics that could benefit her or be to her detriment.

The likely pacesetter has drawn way to the outside in post 11, Causin' Mayhem (6-1). Going out for trainer Todd Pletcher, he'll have to work out a trip from that gate. DeRosa examines whether this may be possible. He uses the Horse Racing Nation Track Trends Tool, an easy way to identify post position and running style trends at different tracks, surfaces and distances.

A long shot whom both DeRosa and Riddoch are interested in is No. 10 Sir for Sure (8-1). This is a horse who upset the Plate Trial Stakes at 21-1, and he goes out for trainer Mark Casse.

Power Picks are available for Woodbine as well as every other track on Queen's Plate day. For more handicapping content, subscribe to the Horse Racing Nation YouTube channel.
