Two-time Horse of the Year California Chrome has left the building.

The former Taylor Made stallion, negotiated for a chance of scenery to Japan back in November, made the ship on Monday and into Tuesday in Japan, where he landed safely while accompanied with Alan Sherman, his former assistant trainer and travel partner.

Via Twitter, Arrow Stud, Chrome's ultimate destination, updated the venture until the son of Lucky Pulpit arrived at the Yokohama quarantine facility. He'll remain there for three weeks before moving to Arrow Stud, which also stands, among others, the 2016 Triple Crown contender Lani and Shanghai Bobby.

California Chrome will stand for $36,500, the highest fee at Arrow Stud. He's one of several well-known American horses heading to Japan next season along with Bricks and Mortar and Animal Kingdom, both of whom have also safely arrived to their new home land.
