Wake At Noon's Connections Banned

Woodbine has barred entries from owner Bruno Schickedanz and ejected trainer Tom Marino following the fatal breakdown of 2002 Canadian Horse of the Year Wake At Noon in a Tuesday workout.

Wake At Noon, 13, was ineligible to race at the track because of his age.

Schickedanz has horses entered at Woodbine through Saturday that will be allowed to compete, said Jamie Martin, the track’s executive vice president of racing. Beginning with Sunday’s card, Schickedanz entries are barred indefinitely, and the track is revoking his 12 stalls.
