Preakness Stakes contender France Go de Ina threw his exercise rider during a breeze at Pimlico Race Course Wednesday morning.

Both the colt and rider Masaki Takano were fine after the incident.

The incident happened about seven-eighths of a mile after the Will Take Charge colt started his gallop. Takano appeared to lose the grip on his left iron when he fell railside off France Go de Ina. He quickly got up, and outriders collected the loose horse in the clubhouse turn.

The Japanese import was the last of the 10 Preakness horses on the track Wednesday. He has to do his morning work alone because of quarantine restrictions.
