New York's final Grade 1 takes place on Saturday in the Cigar Mile, where favored Blue Grass stakes winner Zandon will look for the third win of his career. In his first start against elders, his main competition appears to be the veteran of the field in Mind Control (5-2 morning line).

Handicapper Sara Elbadwi covers the race with New York Racing Association analyst Greg Wolf. Both agree that Zandon is a formidable and deserving favorite. The lack of pace is a potential concern, however.

They also discuss the Go for Wand (G3), which will be run at the same mile distance for fillies and mares. Wolf and Elbadwi have landed on the same top pick in the Go for Wand.
